Notes about this series:
This would be the final season and
playoff appearance for the Binghamton Rangers
Both Head Coaches, George Burnett
(Rangers) and Mark Hunter (Leafs) were thrown out of Game 4 at
the 4:18 mark of the 3rd period after both were seen pointing
at each other, banging on the glass and yelling. Burnett
claims that the Leafs' Shayne Toporowski speared one of the
Rangers near the benches.
Peter Ferraro led the team in scoring
with 3 goals and 1 assist.
This was the first time in Binghamton
AHL Hockey history where they lost three straight series in
the 1st round: 1995 to Cornwall, 1996 to Syracuse and 1997 to
St. John's.
