MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (31-10-7) lost to the Motor City Rockers (31-19-4) by the score of 6-4 in the Big Boy Arena in Fraser, MI on Saturday night. The Rockers get on the scoreboard first with a goal from Jonathan Juliano just 4:42 into the 1st period. Then 1 minute and 3 seconds later, the Rockers made it a 2-0 lead after an Avery Smith goal. Kyle Stephan scored for the Black Bears 8:27 into the 1st period cutting the Rockers lead down to 2-1. With 4:39 left to go in the 1st period, the Rockers take another 2 goal lead after a TJ Sneath goal. It took until 3:30 left to go in the 2nd period for the 1st goal of the period and it belonged to Nicholas Magill-Diaz who put the Rockers up by 3 at 4-1. Making it 5-1 Rockers, Declan Conway scored on the power play with Austin Thompson in the box after a double minor high-sticking call. Kyle Stephan got his 2nd goal of the game making this a 5-2 game just 1:31 into the 3rd period. While the Rockers were a man down, after a face off in the Black Bears offensive zone, Thomas Delaney won a faceoff and raced through both zones and cut in diagonally in front of Nolan Egbert to score the Rockers 6th goal of the night. Dakota Bohn scored the Black Bears first power play goal of the weekend at the 12:03 mark of the 3rd period cutting the Rockers lead down to 3 goals. With only 48 seconds left to go in the game, Tyson Kirkby scored to get the Black Bears down to just a 2 goal deficit.
