| The Binghamton Black Bears (31-6-7) dominate and defeat the Mississippi Sea Wolves (20-23-3) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena by the score of 10-0. Jesse Anderson scored his 9th goal of the season after another beautiful pass from Connor Smith to put the Black Bears up quickly at the 2:37 mark. Then 26 seconds later, Cameron Clark scored his 3rd goal of the season to put the Black Bears up 2-0 early. While the two teams were skating 4 on 4, Tyson Kirkby broke free in the neutral zone and came in on Joseph Sheppard alone and scored a top shelf goal with 31 seconds left to go in the period. While on a 5 minute power play, the Black Bears take a 4-0 lead off the stick of Austin Thompson who scored his fourth goal in the last 2 games. Dan Wieber came back to the ice after being boarded in the 2nd period and scored his 3rd goal of the season 4:17 into the 3rd period. Kyle Stephan scored his first professional goal 6:54 into the 3rd giving the Black Bears a 6-0 lead. While Binghamton's Thompson sat in the penalty box, Colan Fitzgerald scored his first goal this season with the Black Bears short-handed just 1:04 after the Stephan goal. Donald Olivieri scored the 8th goal of the night as the Black Bears were buzzing in front of Sheppard just 4 seconds after the 10 minute mark of the 3rd period. The Black Bears were not finished as Austin Thompson scored his 5th goal of the weekend and his 2nd in this game, scoring the Black Bears 9th goal of the game at the 12:23 mark. Then 16 seconds later, JT Walters scored the Black Bears 10th goal of the game. Black Bears complete the series sweep of the Sea Wolves, win this game 10-0 and out score the Sea Wolves this weekend, 19-1. |
