Ramaekers has steadily established himself as a dependable two-way player while embracing the challenge of moving from the forward position to the blue line. Last season, he appeared in all 56 regular-season games, splitting time between forward and defense while producing 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points, along with a +35 rating. His 47 points marked a career high in Binghamton, while his +35 was another indication of his impact on both sides of the puck. In three regular seasons with the Black Bears, Ramaekers has now appeared in 112 games, recording 36 goals, 55 assists and 91 points with a remarkable +69 rating. The veteran has also been part of all three of Binghamton’s Commissioner’s Cup championships, giving him a perfect three-for-three record since arriving in the Southern Tier. In 16 career playoff games with the Black Bears, Ramaekers has added three goals and three assists. His return comes just one week after the club announced the signing of Jesse Anderson, potentially reuniting the defensive pairing that became one of the steadiest combinations on the Black Bears’ blue line last season. With Ramaekers bringing his experience as both a forward and defenseman, Sherwood once again has a player capable of filling whatever role the lineup requires. For Ramaekers, the 2026-27 season will be about more than simply returning to Binghamton — it will be an opportunity to continue building on a championship legacy that has already produced three Commissioner’s Cups. With eight returners now committed to the Black Bears, the foundation of the defending champions continues to take shape as Binghamton prepares for its sixth season in the FPHL. |
