The Binghamton Black
Bears (36-10-7) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks
(30-19-5) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena
Saturday night by the score of 6-2. The Black Bears get on the score
board early as 'The Don', Donald Olivieri scored just 1:57 into the
1st period. Kyle Stephan score 34 seconds later to give the Black
Bears a 2-0 lead. Blake Tosto gave the Black Bears a 3-0 lead as he
took a feed from Stephan with 2:12 left to go in the first period
and got his shot passed former Black Bear net-minder, Talor Joseph.
Black Bears Captain, Tyson Kirkby continued the scoring as he scored
just 5:28 into the 2nd period on the power play as the Hat Tricks
Riley Robertson was in the box for high-sticking.
Kyle Stephan
scored his 2nd goal of the night with 3:22 to go in the 2nd period
putting the Black Bears up 5-0. The Hat Tricks scored a power play
goal to get on the board with Dan Wieber in the Black Bears penalty
box for tripping as Kolby Johnson got Danbury's lone goal. At the
end of the 2nd period Josh Fletcher was tagged with an interference
call which did not lead to a Danbury power goal, but a Tyson Kirkby
short-handed goal just 24 seconds into the period. Dakota Bohn
scored the Black Bears final goal of the night on the power play to
end this game by a score of 7-1 giving the Black Bears their 11th
win against their Empire Division foe.
