| The Binghamton Black Bears (35-10-7) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (30-18-5) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena Saturday night by the score of 6-2. The two teams stayed scoreless until the 16:30 mark of the 1st period as Jonny Ruiz scored for the Hat Tricks and giving the visiting team a 1-0 lead. Just after the Black Bears power play ended, Cameron Clark stationed in front of Danbury net-minder Connor McCollum took a shot off his wrist that went into the net for the Black Bears first goal tying the game up at 1 apiece. Cleaning up his own shot's rebound, the Captain of the Black Bears, Tyson Kirkby scored the go ahead goal with 8:13 left to go in the third period. |
