MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (1-0) defeated the Motor City Rockers (0-1) in game 1 of the FPHL's Semifinals on the road in Fraser, MI by the score of 4-3. With neither team giving up too much, the first goal of the game didn't happen until 4:21 left to go in the first as TJ Delaney scored to make it 1-0 for the home team. With the Black Bears and the Rockers down to 4 men on the ice, Cam Clark scored his first goal of the playoffs to tie the game at the 8:12 mark of the 2nd period. The Black Bears take their first lead of the game with a Colan Fitzgerald goal with 6:28 left to go in the period. Gavin Yates missed on a penalty shot attempt with 39 seconds to go the 2nd period. Just 7:14 into the 3rd period, Gavin Yates fed Connor Smith who sent the puck past Trevor Babin giving the Black Bears a 2 goal lead. Matheiu Boislard got tagged for boarding which led to a quick power play goal for the Rockers by TJ Sneath cutting the Black Bears lead down to just 1 goal, 3-2. Cam Clark scored his 2nd goal of the game with 5:20 left to go in the 3rd period, this gave the Black Bears a two goal lead again. The third period being the period with the most scoring in the game, the Rockers got the game back to 1 goal game with Jonathan Julliano getting his first goal if the game with 4:04 left in the 3rd period. Binghamton now leads 1-0 in the best of 3 games series and will play on Saturday in Binghamton with a puck drop at 7 PM.
