| The Binghamton Black Bears (2-0) defeated the Watertown Wolves (0-2) in the Visions Veterand Memorial Arena to close out the Quaterfinals series with a 7-2 win. Revenge is best served by scoring a goal said Connor Smith, who scored a goal 4:30 into the first period after he was hit by Tate Leeson yesterday that the Black Bears thought Leeson should have included a suspension. Dakota Bohn scored the 2nd goal of the game short-handed as he and Kyle Stephan were in deep while Jesse Anderson was in the penalty box for roughing. Just as the Anderson penalty ended, Ross Bartlett scored for the Wolves at the 7:21 mark cutting the Black Bears lead in half at 2-1. With the Wolves Ivan Sergeev in the penalty box for roughing, Donald Olivieri scored a power play goal, the Black Bears 3rd goal of the period for the home team. Connor Smith with 1:16 left to go in the 1st period scored his 2nd of the game putting the Black Bears up by 3 goals at 4-1. The Black Bears scored early in the 2nd period just 2:38 in as Jesse Anderson got his first playoff goal of the season and gave the Black Bears a 5-1 lead. Tate Leeson got on the scoresheet 13:13 into the 2nd period as he sent a shot through the five hole of Connor McAnanama to make this a 5-2 game. Gavin Yates scored with 2:08 left to go in the period putting the Black Bears up 6-2. The Don of Binghamton, Donald Olivieri scored the Black Bears 7th goal of the game and 2nd on the power play just 3:21 into the third period with Watertown's Ross Bartlett in the penalty box at the 2:15 mark. The Black Bears now await their 2nd round opponent, either the Danbury Hat Tricks or the Motor City Rockers, game 3 of that series will be played tomorrow in Fraser, MI. |
