MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (7-0-0) defeated the Port Huron Prowlers (5-2-0) in Port Huron on Halloween Night in the first of two meetings at the McMorran Arena this weekend. The Black Bears get on the score-sheet first just 10:27 into the first period after a great pass from Tim Kim to Austin Thompson who scored his 101st career goal. With Lukas Lancy in the box for slashing, the Black Bears take a 2-0 lead after a tic tac toe passing play which led to a Mac Jansen power play goal. 52 seconds later the Black Bears take a 3-0 lead after Austin Thompson scored his second goal of the night at the 3:53 mark of the period. The Black Bears score their 3rd goal of the period and 4th of the game at the 5:01 mark of the middle period making this a 4-0 game just 5:01 into the middle frame off the stick of Scott Ramaekers. From high slot to low slot, Bondarenko fed Thompson for the hat trick, as the Black bears take a 5-0 lead 9:41 into the period. With the Prowlers on a 5 on 3 power play, they score their first goal of the game off the stick of the Matt Graham at the 4:58 mark of the 3rd period making this a 5-1 game. Tim Organ scores the Prowlers second goal of the period and game with a shot that beat Tmej's five hole at the 9:36 mark of the final period. Matt Graham scored his second 5 on 3 power play goal of the game making this a 5-3 game with 4:04 left to go in the final period. The Black Bears escape the third period and win 5 to 3 on the spookiest night of the year.
