| The Binghamton Black Bears (14-2-0) defeated the Watertown Wolves (5-7-2) in Watertown on Friday night by the score of 4-1 with a returning Zac Sirota scoring the game winner. The Black Bears opened the scoring first with a short-handed goal from Austin Thompson with just 8:31 left to go in the period making this a 1-0 game. The Wolves get their first goal of the game 4:21 into the middle period as Steven Klinck received an east to west pass from Boston Bird to score making this a 1-1 game. The Black Bears get the lead back from the returning Zac Sirota who scored his first goal of the season at the 9:21 mark of the 1st period. With Chris Corgan in the box for High-Sticking Gavin Yates, CJ Stubbs scores his 9th goal of the season, his 5th man-up goal making this a 3-1 game with 7:02 left to go in the second period. The Black Bears get another goal from the 3rd line as Emerson Emery and Nick Swain work from their own end of the ice into the offensive zone with Swain getting his second goal of the season with 7:11 to go in the game. The Black Bears improve to 14-2-0 with 41 points and win their 5th consecutive game. |
