MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (13-2-0) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (5-8-2) on Thanksgiving Eve in front of 4,682 fans by the score of 6-3. The Black Bears while on the man-up advantage score the games first goal at the 5:05 mark of the first period off the stick of CJ Stubbs. The Hat Tricks tied the game 1:49 into the second period with a Drew Welsch goal making this a 1-1 game early in the 2nd period. Welsch scored his second goal of the game and period just under 5 minutes later giving the Hat Tricks their first lead of the game just 6:36 into the middle period. The Black have defensive turn overs come back as the Hat Tricks capitalize and score their 3rd goal of the period at the 8:16 mark putting the Hat Tricks up, 3-1 off the stick of their captain Jonny Ruiz. The Black Bears were not going down with out a fight as Austin D'Orazio sent a laser shot past Frankie McClendon for the Black Bears 2nd goal of the game with 6:11 to go in the period. D'Orazio was not done in the period as he scored again on the Hat Tricks net-minder from almost the same position on the ice with 1:08 left to go in the period. CJ Stubbs put the Black Bears back on top again with a goal off a rebound shot from D'Orazio just 19 seconds later making this a 4-3 game. The Black Bears continue what they did in the second period with Stubbs third goal of the game, completing his hat trick at the 3:37 mark of the final period. Austin D'Orazio scored his hat trick 5:35 into the third period on the power play as Trey Deloury was in the box for tripping. The Black Bears win the game, 6-3, the third time they have beaten the Hat Tricks this season by that score.
