MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (11-2-0) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (5-6-2) on Friday night off the back of a Mac Jansen Hat Trick at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The Black Bears take a 1-0 lead in the game after an Ivan Bondarenko goal beats the Hat Tricks net-minder Sebastain Resar just 1:35 into the opening period. The Hat Tricks tie the game up 5:11 into the period with a goal from Trine Universities, Drew Welsch, a puck the just got past the pads of Connor McAnanama. In a very similar fashion, 1:48 into the middle period, the Black Bears get a goal off the stick of Mac Jansen to make this a 2-1 Black Bears lead. With Vadim Frolov in the penalty box for slashing, the Black Bears score their 3rd goal of the game, an Austin D'Orazio power play goal, scoring at the 7:05 mark of the middle period. After a failed challenge by the Hat Tricks, the Black Bears were back on the power play getting a pretty in front of the net man-up goal by Mac Jansen. The Hat Tricks get one goal back, scoring their 2nd goal of the game off the stick of Austan Bellefeuille who scored his goal with 10:25 left to go in the period. The Hat Tricks scored their 2nd goal of the period off the stick of Alexander Legkov, on a delayed penalty that was going to be assessed on Dan Wieber with 4:58 to go in the period. Mac Jansen completes the hat trick with his 15:46 goal of the 3rd period after a long stretch pass from Camron Cervone. To top off the scoring, Nick Swain scored the Black Bears 6th goal and his first of the season with only 3:31 left to go as the Black finished off the Black Bears 6-3 winning their 11 game of the season.
