 The Binghamton Black Bears (10-2-0) defeated the
Athens Rock Lobsters (9-1-0) Saturday night in Binghamton 7-1
improving to 10-2-0. Ivan Bondarenko scored the Black
Bears first goal after a costly turnover in the neutral zone as Bondarenko
stole a pass and sent a slap shot passed the Rock Lobsters McPhail to put
the Black Bears up 1-0. The Rock Lobsters tied the game up 1 minute and 15
seconds later with a goal from Matthew Garcia. The Black
Bears took a 2-1 lead with a power play goal from the blue-line as
Austin D'Orazio scored at the 1:11 mark of the period. With
Carter Shinkaruk in the box for tripping, Mac
Jansen gave the Black Bears a 2 goal lead at the 13:12 mark of the
period making this a 3-1 game. Austin Thompson scored the
Black Bears 4th goal of the game in the third period at the 2:10 mark
making this a 4-1 game. A little more then 3 minutes later, Scott
Ramaekers scored 5:23 into the final period adding to the Black
Bears lead. Mac Jansen scored his second goal of the game
making this a 6-1 game with 8:08 left to go in the third period. After a
Michael Greco roughing penalty, CJ Stubbs
scored the Black Bears seventh goal, the Black Bears 3rd power play goal
ending this game with a 7-1 victory for the home team in front of 4,589
fans. |
