The Binghamton Black Bears (21-2-0) defeated the
Danbury Hat Tricks (9-11-3) by a lop-sided margin of 11-3 on
Ugly Christman Sweater Night at the Visions
Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday night. The Black Bears
first goal of the game came at the 6:56 mark of the first off a
strange bounce which was a shot sent in from CJ Stubbs,
scoring his 16th goal of the season. Just 25 second later the Black
Bears get their second goal of the game, Mac Jansen's
17th of the season making this a 2-0 game. The Hat Tricks get their
first of the game with 5:49 left to go in the period making this a
2-1 game off the stick of Alexander Legkov.
Jesse Anderson scored the Black Bears third goal just 1:48
into the middle period making this a 3-1 Black Bears lead. The Hat
Tricks then scored their 2nd goal of the game 6:46 into the period
off the stick of Anton Rubtsov. Kyle
Stephan scored his second goal of the season making it a
4-2 game with 7:59 left to go in the second period. The long awaited
first goal for Gehrett Sargis came with 3:49 left
to go in the period making this a 5-2 game. With one second to go in
a power play, Austin D'Orazio scores the Black
Bears 6th goal of the game with 1:29 left to go making this a 6-2
game. Dan Stone took a rare tripping penalty and
Jonny Ruiz made the Black Bears pay with their
third goal of the game just 1:04 into the period. With
Austin Pickford in the box for high-sticking,
Austin D'Orazio scored his second power play goal of the
game at the 5:52 mark of the final period. Gehrett Sargis
scored his 2nd goal of the game and season at the 7:41 mark before
Tyson Kirkby scored his 7th goal of the season on
the power play just 42 seconds later making this a 9-3 contest. Then
Connor McAnanama dumped the puck to Dan Wieber
who sent it all the way down the ice to Nick Swain,
who then undressed a Danbury defender before scoring an amazing goal
to make this a 10-3 game at the 8:56 mark of the 3rd period. The
scoring was not done as Zac Sirota scored the Black
Bears 11th goal of the game with 4:06 left to go making this an 11-3
win for the Black Bears. |
