The Binghamton Black Bears (19-2-0) defeated the
Danbury Hat Tricks (9-9-3) on Teddy Bear Toss Night in
Binghamton by the score of 8-3. The Teddy Bears came flying at the
11:26 mark of the 1st period as the Black Bears scored first with
Nick Swain's third goal of the season making this a
1-0 game. With Genaro Fronduto in the penalty box
for high-sticking, Mac Jansen scored his 15th goal
of the season making this a 2-0 game just 3 minutes and 27 seconds
after the Swain goal. Nick Swain made it a 3-0 game
with 4:13 left to go in the period scoring his 2nd goal of the game.
With 11 seconds left to go in the period, Mac Jansen
scored his 16th goal of the season to make this a 4-0 lead for the
Black Bears. With Nick Swain in the penalty box
serving a 5 minute major penalty from a D'Orazio elbow on the Hat
Tricks Rubtsov, the Hat Tricks break up the Black Bears scoring
streak with a Noah Robinson goal 8:26 into the
middle period. The Black Bears get that goal back with Swain's hat
trick goal at the 13:31 mark making this a 5-1 game. Kyle
Stephan scored his first goal of the season just 9 seconds
after the Swain hat trick goal. Swain was not done, repeating what
Gavin Yates did the week before, scoring his 4th
goal of the game with 2:35 left to go in the middle period. Just 4
