The Binghamton Black Bears (18-2-0) defeated the
Danbury Hat Tricks (9-9-2) in a shoot-out after 65 was not enough
to declare a winner. Starting this game off with the Black
Bears on the power play, the Hat Tricks score first with a
short-handed goal from Noah Robinson. Then just 52
seconds later, the Hat Tricks take a 2-0 lead with a goal from
Austan Bellefeuille 10:25 into the first period.
The Black Bears Captain, Tyson Kirkby scored his
4th goal of the season with 7:38 left to go in the period making
this a 2-1 game. Neither team scored in the middle period, though
the Black Bears out shot the Hat Tricks 17-3. The Black Bears tie
the game up with 3:32 left to go in the game as Tyson Kirkby
scores again in front of the net making this a 2-2 game. After
neither team could score in the 5 minute over time period, the Black
Bears secured the 3-2 shoot out win after CJ Stubbs
scored on Resar as the Black Bears second shooter in the shoot-out. |
