| The Binghamton Black Bears (4-1-0) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (1-1-1) in OT on the road in Danbury by the score of 3-2. Jamie Bucell returning to the Black Bears this weekend, scored his first goal of the season with the Black Bears up on the man-advantage at the 2:55 mark of the 1st period. With Dan Stone in the penalty box for delay of game, the Hat Tricks kept their pressure on Black Bears net-minder Connor McAnanama as Chase Harwell scored the Hat Tricks game tying goal also on the man-advantage. The Black Bears on the power play after a Harwell high-sticking call gave up two plays where the Hat Tricks had a two on one short-handed chance scored on one of them with a Cory Anderson goal giving the Hat Tricks a 2-1 lead at the 11:24 mark. With a 5 on 3 advantage, the Black Bears Gavin Yates scores the two up man advantage goal to tie the game at 2 goals a piece. With the Hat Tricks Jacob Ratcliffe in the penalty box for hooking in OT, Cameron Clark scored a power play game winning overtime goal 3:03 into the extra period giving the Black Bears a 3-2 victory in Danbury. |
