| The Binghamton Black Bears (8-1-1) defeared the Port Huron Prowlers (1-6-1) in a 2-0 shutout in front of a sell-out crowd of 4,893 fans on Saturday night. The Prowlers and the Black Bears went back and fourth before the Black Bears Zac Sirota scored at the 12:21 mark of the 1st to give the Black Bears a 1-0 lead. The two teams went 20 minutes with no scoring as they head into the 2nd intermission with the Black Bears leading 1-0. After Dakota refused to give up on a play, battled to the front of the net and took a shot, but it was Tyson Kirkby who cleaned up the greasy goal to put the Black Bears up 2-0 at the 12:48 mark of the 3rd period. This is all the Black Bears needed as Connor McAnanama stopped the remaining pressure from the Prowlers to secure his 2nd shut-out this season. |
