| The Binghamton Black Bears (13-2-1) defeated the Watertown Wolves (10-3-1) in a large dominating way in front over 4,000 fans at home on Saturday night. With the Wolves getting into penalty trouble early in the first period, the Black Bears score on a five on three man-up opportunity off the stick of CJ stubbs, scoring his first goal of the season. The Black Bears then scored again on another five on three power play as the 'Don Father', Donald Olivieri scored the Black Bears second goal of the game at the 6:48 mark of the first. The Black Bears then take a 3 goal lead as Jesse Anderson scored his first of the season with 1:25 left to go in the first period. The Black Bears score their fourth goal of the game short-handed as Chris Mott was in the box for hooking, which saw a Wolves turn over and Kirkby and Bohn setting up Austin Thompson for his second shorty of the weekend. The Wolves left Gavin Yates all alone on the right side of Anton Borodkin, who received a pass from CJ Stubbs and scored the Black Bears fifth goal of the game at the 6:46 mark of the middle period. The Black Bears not letting up the gas, scored their third power play goal after Jesse Anderson scored his second goal of the game at the 15:49 mark of the period. After the games first fight at the 19:03 mark of the second period, the Wolves finally beat Black Bears net-minder Connor McAnanama with a goal 26 seconds after the tilt off the stick of Ross Bartlett. Dan Stone scored his third goal of the season 9:02 into the third period just after a power play had completed for the Black Bears making this a 7-1 game. The Black Bears make it an 8-1 game with 5 minutes to go with an easy goal for Chris Mott who got a cross ice pass from Emerson Emery. Just 15 seconds later Michael Mercurio scored an assisted goal to make it an 8-2 goal. With Kyle Heitzner in the box for delay of game, Tyson Kirkby puts an exclamation point on the game with the Black Bears fourth power play goal of the night to make it a 9-2 win for the Black Bears. |
