| The Binghamton Black Bears (12-2-1) defeated the Watertown Wolves (10-2-1) in a tightly contested game in Watertown, NY by the score of 2-1. The Black Bears get the first goal of the game after an initial Anton Borodkin save, Kyle Stephan cleaned up the rebound chance for his 5th goal of the game at the 10:34 mark of the 1st period. No scoring for either team in the 2nd period as the Black Bears got into some penalty trouble but was able to kill all the penalty time. The Wolves tie the game up with 5:37 left to go in the third period after a rebound shot from Chiwetin Blacksmith gets passed Black Bears net-minder, Connor McAnanama. With Dan Stone in the penalty box for holding, Austin Thompson and Gavin Yates came streaking in short-handed and Thompson scored with 2:47 left in the third period giving the Black Bears a 2-1 lead and the eventual win in Watertown. |
