| The Binghamton Black Bears (11-2-1) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (4-5-3) Wednesday night in front of 3,997 fans the night before Thanksgiving at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. Getting production from the third line, the Black Bears scored first in what felt like a slow moving first period as Khaden Henry put the Black Bears up first at the 12:28 mark. The Black Bears went up 2-0 after another Henry goal as he scored 4 minutes and 47 seconds later, scoring his fourth goal of the season. With Dan Wieber in the penalty box for slashing, the Hat Tricks get on the score-sheet with a power play goal from Vadim Frolov at the 8:54 mark of the middle frame. Shortly after that, Tyson Kirkby was in the right spot as a Khaden Henry shot went off of Kirkby to score the Black Bears third goal at the 9:16 mark. The Hat Tricks catch a break and score a short-handed goal which was originally waived off but after a review initiated by the Hat Tricks, the refs ruled it as a good goal for Chase Harwell at the 11:06 mark. The Black Bears and the Hat Tricks went scoreless in the third period and the Black Bears get the narrow win, 3-2 over the Hat Tricks. |
