| The Binghamton Black Bears (5-1-1) lost to the Danbury Hat Tricks (2-1-2) after the game went to the shoot out and it took 8 rounds before Josh Labelle sent the Binghamton faithful home unhappy. The games first goal came early as the Hat Tricks jumped to an early 1-0 lead after a Chase Harwell goal at the 1:46 mark. Bouncing back like the Black Bears like to do, Khaden Henry scored a goal just 26 seconds later to tie the game up at 1. Just ten seconds after killing a 2 minute penalty kill, the Black Bears could not clear the puck and the Hat Tricks took the lead off the stick of former Black Bears, Aleksandre Gamzatov just 3:12 into the second period. With .5 seconds left to go in period, the Black Bears not able to keep the puck in the offense zone give up a short-handed goal to Chase Harwell ending the period with a two goal deficit. The Black Bears got the first marker of the third period off the stick of Scott Ramaekers who scored his first goal of the season to get the Black Bears to just one behind the Hat Tricks 7:19 into the period. Black Bears then get another goal, a game tying goal from Christopher Mott who scored his first goal of the season to tie the game up at 3 goals a piece. After no scoring in the overtime period, the Black Bears head to their 2nd straight shoot out. Both Connor McCollum and Connor McAnanama were great in the one on one contest to resolve the game, but it was Josh Labelle who in the 8th round got the game winning goal into the back of the net. Hat Tricks win their first visit into the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena this season 4-3. |
