| The Binghamton Black Bears (42-5-1) defeated the Carolina Thunderbirds (34-9-4) in front of a sell out crowd in Binghamton by the score of 1-0. Some good chances for both teams but the first 20 minutes is scoreless as both teams limit the high quality chances. Just 1:27 into the middle frame a wide open Austin Thompson sent a slap shot past Thunderbirds net-minder Mario Cavaliere for the 1st goal of the game. No scoring in the 3rd period as the Black Bears took the Finals rematch by the score of 1-0. The Black Bears improve to 42-5-1 as Connor McAnanama earns his fourth shut out of the season and his 27th win of the season. |
