MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (41-5-1) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (27-12-8) by the score of 4-3 on Friday night in front of 4,762 fans. With Zac Sirota in the box for tripping, the Hat Tricks scored the first goal of the game, on the power play off the stick of Connor Woolley just 8:27 into the 1st period. The Black Bears responded quickly just 1 minute and 2 seconds later with a Dan Stone goal scored from the point. The Hat Tricks scored a short-handed goal 55 seconds into the period after clearing the puck and skating into the Black Bears zone with a two on one scenario and Gleb Bandurkin picking up the Hat Tricks second goal of the game. With the Black Bears again on the power play, the Hat Tricks again scored another short-handed goal by Jonny Ruiz who was able to sneak past the Black Bears defenders. CJ Stubbs from behind the net, bounced the puck of the Hat Tricks back to score the Black Bears 2nd goal of the game to make this a 3-2 game at the 13:18 mark of the 2nd period. The Black Bears with great passing in the offensive zone get another goal past McCollum with 3:11 left to go in the period off the stick on Scott Ramaekers tying this game up at 3 goals a piece. With the Hat Tricks Dylan Hullaby in the penalty box for hooking, the Black Bears finally convert on the power play with a goal from Dakota Bohn, his 8th power play goal of the season.
