MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (24-4-1) defeated the Watertown Wolves (16-10-1) in front of 4,597 fans on Friday night by the score of 6-3. The Wolves Trevor Neuman in deep in front of Black Bears net-minder Connor McAnanama scored the game first goal just 1:38 into the first period. With Ian Erdman in the penalty box for hooking, the Don Father, Donald Olivieri scored his 12th goal of the season knotting this game up at 1 goal a piece. Austin Thompson scored his 18th of the season with just 18 seconds left to go in the period to make it a 2-1 game. The Wolves Joshua Tomasi was tagged for a 4 minute high-sticking call as he got his stick up high on Dan Wieber, which then led Olivieri to score his 2nd power play goal of the game giving the Black Bears a 3-1 lead at the 10:01 mark of the second period. With 4:19 left to go in the period CJ Stubbs scored to keep his hot streak going giving the Black Bears a 4-1 lead. With Gavin Yates serving the Black Bears 2nd penalty of the game for slashing, Steven Klinck scored a pinball machine game goal on the power play making this a 4-2 game. But Zac Sirota scored just 8 seconds later giving the Black Bears a 3 goal lead again with 2:11 left to go in the period. The Wolves got on the board first in the third period with a Davide Gaeta goal 8:57 into the period making this a 5-3 game. In a fluke bounce with 5:04 left to go in the period Kyle Stephan scored the Black Bears 6th goal of the game keeping the 3 goal lead. The Black Bears get a late period power play to close out the game and earn their 24th win of the season.
