| The Binghamton Black Bears (14-3-1) defeared the Port Huron Prowlers (7-9-2) in a penalty filled game by the score of 5-2. On Teddy Bear Toss Night in Binghamton, the first goal of the game came from the Black Bears and Cameron Clark at the 10:34 of the first period, then bears started flying to the ice as the Black Bears took a 1-0 lead. The Black Bears took a 2-0 lead off of a Cameron Clark power play goal, scoring his 2nd goal of the period and game. The Prowlers got on the score-sheet 3 minutes and 50 seconds into the middle period with a goal from Reginald Milette to make this a 2-1 game. With Scott Ramaekers in the penalty box for Slashing, the Black Bears take a 3-1 lead after a short handed goal from Kyle Stefan. Donald Olivieri scored an unassisted goal with 5:49 to go in the period putting the Black Bears up 4-1. A turn over in the Black Bears defensive zone led to the Prowlers 2nd goal of the game, scored by Joel Frazee just 1:24 into the 3rd period. Near the end of the game and with Valtteri Nousianinen pulled for the extra attacker, Clark scored the empty-net goal to complete the hat trick and give the Black Bears a 5-2 bounce back win. |
