| The Binghamton Black Bears (18-3-1) defeated the Motor City Rockers (8-11-1) on Peanut's Night in Binghamton by the score of 4-2. Scoring the first goal of the game for the Black Bears, Scott Ramaekers notched his 5th goal of the season 8:39 into the first period putting the Black Bears on the board first. Mathias Tellstrom put the Rockers onto the score-board next at thew 12:19 mark of the first with his unassisted goal tying this game at one goal a piece. Getting his first goal of the season with an assist from Gavin Yates, Dan Wieber broke the tie with 5:32 left to go in the second period. Just 1:19 into the third period saw Yates score his seventh goal of the season giving the Black Bears a 3-1 lead. The Captain Tyson Kirkby scored the Black Bears fourth goal of the game while the Black Bears were short-handed as Donald Olivieri sat in the penalty box for slashing. The Rockers did get a late game goal, their second of the game from Cody Oakes, however Connor McAnanama contained anymore damage to earn his 30th career win for the Black Bears. |
