MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (48-6-1) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (32-15-8) in front of the Black Bears 9th sell out of the season by the score of 6-2. The Hat Tricks get on the score-sheet first with a goal at the 4:44 mark of the 1st period off the stick of former Black Bear, Josh Newberg. The Black Bears then got the scoring going for the home team with a CJ Stubbs tally with 6:59 left to go in the opening period. Jesse Anderson then scored the Black Bears second goal, putting them up for the first time in th egame at the 15:45 mark. With Gavin Yates in the penalty box for slashing, Jesse Anderson's scored the Black Bears 17th short-handed goal of the season making this a 3-1 game. With Yates in the box for unsportsmanlike, the Hat Tricks pull to within 1 goal with a Chase Harwell man-up advantage goal at the 10:29 mark of the middle period. Then Tyson Kirkby just 22 seconds later scored the Black Bears 4th goal of the game regaining their 2 goal lead. After seeing the sin bin a little bit in the game, Gavin Yates found the back of the net just 2:08 into the 3rd period giving the Black Bears a 5-2 lead. Donald Olivieri made this a 6-2 game with 2:47 left to go in the game scoring his 21st goal of the game.
