| The Binghamton Black Bears (24-4-6) lost to the Motor City Rockers (19-12-4) by the score of 3-1 inside of the Big Boy Arena losing only their fourth regulation game of the season. Austin Thompson got the scoring started for the Black Bears scoring with 8:31 left to go in the 1st period. The Rockers got their first goal of the night 12:20 into the 2nd with a pretty nice snipe from George Holt, knotting this game up at 1 goal apiece. After a turnover in the neutral zone and a 2 on 1 for the Rockers, Jonathan Juliano scored to put the home team up, 2-1 with 2:46 left to go in the 2nd period. With both Gavin Yates in the box serving Coach Sherwood's penalty and Jesse Anderson in the box for tripping, the Rockers score a 5 on 3 power play goal with off a shot from Adam Kuhn. Black Bears pull Nolan Egbert in the latter stages of the period for the extra attacker but Trevor Babin finally has a stellar game against the Black Bears with the Rockers taking this one 3-1. |
