Grady Whittenburg
Radio Broadcaster
Director of Broadcasting
Binghamton Senators
2002 - 2017

From the Binghamton Devils Press Release:
Whittenburg was the Director of Broadcasting for the Binghamton Senators for 14 seasons. After the Senators won the Calder Cup in 2010-11, Whittenburg was selected as the James H. Ellery Award winner for outstanding media coverage of the American Hockey League. He now serves as the fill-in play-by-play radio broadcaster for the Washington Capitals and has returned as the primary play-by-play broadcaster for Cornell University Hockey on ESPN+. Prior to his tenure with the Binghamton Senators, the Lansing, NY native served as the voice of Cornell Athletics for thirteen years.

No words were more beloved that Grady uttered than these words while in Houston, Texas on June 7th, 2011.

"Here we go...Face off to the right of Lehner...Cody Bass in against Warren Peters with 5.4 seconds to go. Everybody at the Toyata Center in Houston on their feet...Players, Coaches, Fans. Houston winning it...It rolls free out through center...They'll turn it back in and that'll do it...The horn sounds! The Binghamton Senators are the 2011 Calder Cup Champions...As Robin Lehner is mobbed along the end boards down to our left...38 years of suffering for Binghamton Hockey fans comes to an end tonight!!!"
