MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (4-0-2) defeated the Watertown Wolves (1-4-0) in Watertown on Saturday night by the score of 5-3. Early in the first period, the hot Binghamton power play continued as Nikita Ivashkin gets past the Watertown net-minder, Travis Rigden to put the Black Bears up, 1-0. With 5:21 left to go in the 1st period, Brenden Stanko scored off his own rebound which then got Rigden pulled for Josh Rosenzweig. Tate Leeson gets 1 back for the Wolves on the power play at the 18:42 mark of the 1st. After matching minors to Ivashkin and Mercurio and with a little more space on the ice Chase Dibari scored the Wolves 2nd goal on the evening. The Black Bears score with 4:45 left in the 2nd to take the lead as Tyson Kirkby, Austin Thompson and Thomas Wray played tic tac toe until Austin Thompson sank the punk for the 3rd Black Bears goal. JT Walters picked up the 4th Black Bears goal just 2:27 into the 3rd period, giving the Black Bears a 2 goal lead. Tate Leeson then brings the score back to the Wolves being down by one with a tally at the 8:44 mark. Scoring the Black Bears 2nd power play goal of the night was Tyson Kirkby the Captain, putting the game at 5-3 Black Bears. Nolan Egbert saved 28 of 31 shots in his 2nd win of the season.
