One year after the Minnesota
North Stars made Don Biggs (Inducted with Biggs) the 156th
overall choice of the NHL entry draft, Brad Jones was
selected with the same pick by the Winnipeg Jets. After
playing parts of six NHL seasons as a winger with the
Jets, Los Angeles Kings and the Flyers, Jones came to
Binghamton and spent the 1995-96 season playing for the
Rangers. He scored 25 goals and 27 assists in 62 games
that season. After spending a year playing in Germany he
returned to the Binghamton area and scored 65 points in 55
games for the B.C. Icemen of the United Hockey League.
The 1997-98 season was also his
introduction to coaching as he served as a
player-assistant coach for the Icemen. He was promoted to
the head coaching position following the 1997-98 campaign
and spent four seasons as the head coach of the Icemen
compiling a record of 156 wins, 111 losses and 29 overtime
losses. The Detroit , Mich. area native is also a member
