| The Binghamton Black Bears (5-0-2) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (3-5-0) in the Danbury Ice Arena by the score of 4-2. The first period did not see any scoring for either team, the Black Bears led in shots, 10-4. Both teams had 2 power plays in the period and neither had a lot of grade 'A' quality chances. Binghamton gets their first goal off the stick of Nikita Ivashkin who has now scored 96 goals in Binghamton hockey history, now soley in 9th place. Brenden Stanko scored to make the score 2-0 after tapping in his own rebound shot. Connor Smith then all alone in front of the Danbuy net-minder, Connor McCollom scored easily to make it 3-0. The three goals that Ivashkin, Stanko and Smith scored came in just a period of 2 minutes and 16 seconds. In the third, the Hat Tricks got two goals to break the shut out off the sticks of Sam Dabrowski and Nick DiNicola. The Black Bears got a goal from Andrew Logar which meant the Black Bears won the game by the score of 4-2. |
