| The Binghamton Black Bears (19-3-6) lost to the Danbury Hat Tricks (16-11-2) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena by the score of 4-3, breaking a 21 game point streak at home. It took until 12:45 of the 1st period, but Gavin Yates drive the puck in through the neutral zone deked past a Hat Trick defenseman and crossed in front of Liam Murray to get the game’s first goal of the night. Nikita Ivashkin then scored with 2:58 left to go in the 1st on the power play scoring his 8th power play goal of the season. The second period saw no scoring in the period, with the Black Bears outshooting the Hat Tricks, 12 to 17 and 21 to 29 overall through 40 minutes of play. The third period belonged to the Hat Tricks and they made the Black Bear pay for sloppy play scoring 4 goals in the third off the sticks of Jonny Ruiz on the power play just 2:48 into the period, then Connor Woolley scored the Hat Tricks second goal 9:58 in before Chase Harwell scored the Hat Trick 3rd and game tying goal at 17:36. Corey Cunningham gave the Hat Tricks there first regulation win over the Black Bears with just 45 seconds left to go in the game, the Black Bears fall 4-3. |
