| The Binghamton Black Bears (15-2-3) defeated the Watertown Wolves (6-9-1) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena by the score of 5-2, winning their 2nd home game in a row vs. the Wolves. The Black Bears started off the scoring with Noah Doyle in the box for slashing, as Dan Stone sent a beauty of a pass to Austin Thompson who scored the power play goal putting the Black Bears up 1-0 just 4:07 into the 1st. However the Wolves tie the game back up at 1 with a goal off the stick of Chiwetin Blacksmith at the 10:11 mark of the 1st. Blacksmith scored a shorthanded goal with 1 minute 37 seconds left when Dakota Bohn blew a tire and Thompson screened Connor McAnanama. The period ended with the Wolves up 2-1 over the Black Bears. Quickly in the 2nd period only 41 seconds, Gavin Yates found him self on a break-a-way and he came in on Eloi Bouchard pushing the puck through the five hole and tying the game at 2 goals a piece. At the middle part of the 2nd period, Bouchard made two sprawling saves on Tyson Kirkby and Josh Fletcher who both were trying to break the tie vs. the Wolves. The Black Bears went up 3-2 after Andrew Logar worked hard on the power play, scoring after a poke check didn't clear the puck and Logar was able to go top shelf to score. Logar then had a goal disallowed in the 3rd on the power play as Olivieri sent the puck to Logar via a hand-pass. 13:12 into the 3rd, the Black Bears resident tough guy, Mathieu Boislard chips in with the 4th goal of the game, putting this game at 4-2. After the Black Bears missed three empty net goals with Bouchard pulled for the extra attacker, Dakota Bohn scored the 5th goal of the game to complete his 1 goal and 2 assist night and the Black Bears 5-2 win over the Wolves. |
