| The Binghamton Black Bears (14-2-3) defeated the Watertown Wolves (6-8-1) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in grand fasion as Connor McAnanama stones the Wolves, 4-0. With Marc Bottero (Cross-Checking) and Dustin Henning (Tripping) both in the box early in the 1st period, the Black Bears scored a 5 on 3 power play goal to take the 1-0 lead. 4 minutes and 4 seconds later, Josh Fletcher scored to give the Black Bears a 2-0 lead before the half way mark of the period. Donald Olivieri again made the difference on the power play with his electric shot putting this game at a 3-0 lead for the Black Bears. No scoring in the 2nd period, even though the Black Bears peppered Josh Rosenzweig with another 15 shots. Dakota Seaman was assessed a match penalty for Cross-Checking as he two handed cross-checked Olivieri. This period was more feisty then the first. The third line came alive in the 3rd period, with Andrew Logar and Jestin Somero setting up Liam Anderson for the Black Bears 4th goal at the 8:30 mark. After an Illegal Check to the Head for Tate Leeson, Josh Fletcher jumped up and dropped his gloves which led a big to do for the Black Bears and the Wolves, which will lead to more suspensions. However the Black Bears shut down the Wolves the rest of the way and Connor McAnanama earned his 2nd win of the weekend and the first shut out of the season for the Black Bears, earning the #1 star of the game. |
