| The Binghamton Black Bears (13-2-3) defeated the Danbury Hat Tricks (8-8-2) at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena by the score of 4-2. After a big hit from the Hat Trick's Steve Brown on the Black Bears, Austin Thompson, a scrum occurred putting Brown in the penalty box for two penalties along with Austin Thompson and Donald Olivieri. This led to a very quick goal, still 5 on 5 for the Black Bears off the stick of Dakota Bohn just 6 seconds after the Brown hit on Thompson. The 2nd period was dominated by the Black Bears, out shooting the Hat Tricks 15-6, however they could not get a puck past Connor McCollum. However at the end of the period, with Sanuel Tetreault in the box for roughing, Thomas Wray scored the Black Bears 2nd goal of the game on the power play. The 3rd period saw a lot of feisty play which will likely see a couple players face a suspension with multiple game misconducts being handed out. However the Hat Tricks scored first in the period with a goal at the 14:14 mark off the stick of Bohdan Zinchenko. Donald Olivieri returned the favor putting the Black Bears back up by 2 goals just 11 seconds after the Zinchenko goal. 2 minutes and 2 seconds later, Dakota Bohn scored a power play goal to make it a 3 goal game. With Connor McCollum pulled for the extra attacker, Daniel McKitrick scored to cut the lead in half, but with only 36 seconds left, the Black Bears were able to close this out for their 6th straight win over the Hat Tricks, this time by the score of 4-2. |
