Black Bears extend lease with Visions Veterans Memorial Arena August 11, 2026 |

August 10, 2026 - by Brooks Hill - Binghamton Black Bears News Release BINGHAMTON- The Binghamton Black Bears are proud and excited to announce they are staying put inside Visions Veterans Memorial Arena for the upcoming future. The organization, along with representatives from local government officials and VVMA, announced Monday afternoon that an extension has been signed with all parties! With the extension, the Black Bears have agreed to remain the primary tenants of the VVMA for an additional three years until the conclusion of the 2029-30 campaign. Entering the 2026-27 season, the organization was entering their final year of the first extension signed in July 2023. The Black Bears are entering their sixth season of representing professional hockey for the city of Binghamton. For all six seasons, the Black Bears have been members of the FPHL. They are the first team in league history to win three-straight Commissioners Cup Finals. This past season, the Black Bears welcomed 147,476 total fans and averaged 4,469 fans per game. With 16 sellouts, it marked the most from a Binghamton hockey organization since the 2004-2005 Binghamton Senators. Both of which were record-breaking milestones for the franchise. The 2026-27 season will start on Saturday, October 10! The Black Bears will take on the Watertown Wolves for Banner-Raising Night. The night will include a pre-game ceremony recognizing members from last year’s team, highlights, and raising of the 2026 Commissioners Cup Banner. Season Tickets are on sale now!
