July 29, 2026 - by Brooks Hill - Binghamton Black Bears News Release BINGHAMTON- The Binghamton Black Bears, 3x Commissioner Cup Champions, are proud to announce that Forward William Mitchell has signed for the 2026-27 season! Will is the ninth rookie player and seventh forward to sign ahead of training camp this fall. Mitchell is a 21-year-old native of Kingston, Ontario, who has spent his hockey career in Canada. Last season with his second stint with the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL, Mitchell played 38 games, scored 10 goals and added 29 assists. In the 2024-25 season, Mitchell played in the BCHL with Alberni Valley and Blackfalds. During the 2023-24 campaign with Wellington, William appeared in 56 games, recorded 15 goals and 30 assists finishing third on the team in points. This is will be William's first time playing with an organization in the United States. Congrats William and welcome to Binghamton! Season Tickets are on sale now!
