July 24, 2026 - by Brooks Hill - Binghamton Black Bears News Release BINGHAMTON- The Federal Prospects Hockey League has officially announced the league-wide schedule for the 2026-27 season. Once again, the league schedule will feature 28 home games and 28 games on the road, totaling 56. The Black Bears, fresh off their 3rd-straight Commissioners Cup title, will open the season on home ice on October 10 against the Watertown Wolves. There will be a pregame ceremony that will recognize members of the 2025-26 squad, and raise the third Commissioners Cup Champions banner inside the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. With the FPHL expanding westward to 17 teams this season, the divisions have been realigned. Binghamton will now play in the newly formed Atlantic Division along with the Blue Ridge Bobcats, Danbury Hat Tricks and Twin City Thunderbirds. Binghamton will play a total of 23 games against their new division foes. Binghamton's home schedule will feature eight different opponents. The Baton Rouge Kingfish, Blue Ridge Bobcats and Mid-South Monarchs are scheduled to make their first-ever appearances in Binghamton. Fans will also have the opportunity to see familiar faces in Danbury, Motor City, Port Huron, Twin City and Watertown. The only two teams that Binghamton plays exclusively on the road this year will be the Columbus River Dragons on 10/23-24 and Indiana Sentinels 2/12-13. The 28 home games can be broken down as follows: 14 Saturday games, 10 Friday games, 2 Wednesday games, 1 Thursday game (NYE) and 1 Sunday game.
