Ivan Kulagin joins Binghamton August 11, 2026 |

July 14, 2026 - by Brooks Hill - Binghamton Black Bears News Release BINGHAMTON- The Binghamton Black Bears, 3x Commissioner Cup Champions, are proud to announce that Ivan Kulagin has signed for the 2026-27 season. Ivan is the fifth rookie player and fourth forward to sign ahead of training camp this fall. He joins countryman, Ivan Bondarenko, as the second Russian-born forward with the Black Bears. Kulagin is native of Vladimir, Russia but has been playing hockey in North America since the 2019-20 season. In the last two years Kulagin was a member of the New Jersey 87's EHL organization. During those two campaigns, Ivan appeared in 99 games and recorded 52 goals (4th in EHL) with 54 assists. Most recently, Kulagin led the 87's in points during the 2025-26 season. After the EHL season concluded, Ivan did play one game in the FPHL last season with the Pee Dee IceCats. Kulagin will still be classified as a rookie for the 2026-27 season.
