BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Tim Conboy's heroic goal with 13 seconds left to play in regulation broke a 2-2 tie for the Portland Pirates, providing the club with all they needed to steal game three of the Atlantic Division Finals from the Binghamton Senators on the road. With the win, Portland cut Binghamton's two-game series lead to just one, as the Pirates avoided falling into a three-game hole before having to face the Senators at home for the next two games of the series.

Ryan Keller and Kaspars Daugavins handled the scoring for the B-Sens, each chipping in their fifth goal of the playoffs, while Ryan Potulny added his team-leading 17th point with a helper in the first in the losing effort.

Robin Lehner continued his fine play in net for the Binghamton, stopping 30 of 33 shots faced, yet it wasn't enough for the young goalie to avoid be handed his first post-season loss as opposing net minder David Leggo managed 32 saves on 34 shots en route to his fifth goalie win of the playoffs.

Brian O'Hanley put the Pirates on the board with his first goal of the post-season in the opening frame, while Derek Whitmore tied for the team lead with his fourth playoff goal, a score that would knot the game for the Pirates midway through the third.

It was Conboy's goal that would be the most important, however, as the defenseman picked the most opportune time to tally his first post-season goal, ultimately sealing the victory for the Pirates and allowing his team some breathing room in the series, which now stands at 2-1.

The B-Sens will be back at the Broome County Arena to host the Pirates in games four and five of the Atlantic Division Finals on Monday at Tuesday night respectively. Drop of the puck for both games is at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $19.75 for side seats and $18.75 for end zone seats. Fans can purchase tickets at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or in person at the Binghamton Senators' executive office located on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena or the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena box office
