Binghamton, N.Y. – The Binghamton Black Bears revealed on Wednesday, August 18th their 60-Game schedule for the 2021-22 FPHL season. Much like most seasons in Binghamton the schedule is heavy on Friday and Saturday dates.

The Black Bears will play 21 games (10-home/11-away) on Fridays this season, while playing 22 games (12-home/10-away) on Saturdays, marking 22 home games between the two days at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena.

Binghamton will play both the Delaware Thunder and the Watertown Wolves 15 times each, exactly 50% of their schedule against the East Division foes while playing the Danbury Hat Tricks 13 times to round out their East Division opponents.

The Black Bears will see 17 games vs. the West Division, playing the Columbus River Dragons and the Carolina Thunderbirds 5 times each and the Port Huron Prowlers 7 times.

Absent on the schedule for the Black Bears, is the Elmira Enforcers who will not be playing this season after the owners of First Arena, the Chemung County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), presented their findings in a special meeting on July 29th on the future of the venue. In the meeting, The IDA stated that they would need potentially $6 to 8 million dollars to repair First Arena. Another potential option would be to entertain tearing down the facility.

The Black Bears will start on the road in Watertown vs. Wolves on October 29th & 30th and will not make their debut in Binghamton at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena until Saturday, November 6th vs. the Delaware Thunder.

Binghamton fans will still have the specialty games they are used to as the Black Bears will Danbury on Wednesday, November 24th, the day before Thanksgiving game and Watertown will be here on Friday, December 31st, a New Year’s Eve tradition at the Arena.

Binghamton will conclude its first regular season in the FPHL with two games vs. the Carolina Thunderbirds on Friday and Saturday, April 15th and 16th.
