Nikita Ivashkin scored his 91st goal as a Black Bear, entering Binghamton's Top 10.
Binghamton, NY - Nikita Ivashkin punched his ticket into Binghamton hockey history on Friday when he scored his 91st goal as a Black Bear 2 minutes and 38 seconds into the 1st period. The Black Bears were on the power play early in the game vs. the Carolina Thunderbirds when Ivashkin received the pass from Chad Lopez and put the Top 10 goal behind Thunderbirds net-minder, Mario Cavaliere.

Ivaskin’s 91st goal puts him at a tie with Binghamton’s Whalers center, Dallas Guame who achieved the mark in 273 games played in the four seasons when he played in Binghamton. Ivashkin’s rank of 10th and Guame’s rank of 11th is based on Ivashkin reaching the 91 goals in only 93 regular season games played, in which Ivashkin has now done in under 2 seasons with the Black Bears.

The 23 year old forward from Ramenskoye, Russia has played his whole professional career in Binghamton. Ivashkin scored his first goal of his professional career in the Black Bears first ever game in Watertown, NY vs the Wolves on October 29th, 2021. Ivashkin now sits just 4 goals behind Former Binghamton Rangers right wing, Jean-Yves Roy who has 95 goals in 9th place.

Ivashkin reaches this mark in Binghamton’s 50th professional season of hosting hockey in the city. The Black Bears have 22 more games remaining in the 2022-23 regular season and with Ivashkin scoring just under a goal a game (.978 goals per game), the young forward certainly has an excellent chance at reaching a few more positions before seasons end.

Here is the Binghamton hockey all time top 10 goal scorers in the 50 years of Binghamton hockey history.

1. Rod Bloomfield - 203
2. Denis Hamel - 203
3. Randy MacGregor - 190
4. Chris Grenville -160
5. Paul Fenton - 120
6. Ross Yates -102
7. Josh Hennessy - 99
8. Bob Sullivan - 98
9. Jean Yves-Roy - 95
10. Nikita Ivashkin - 91
