MJ Maerkl Likely To Be Suspended For A Hit To The Head

| MJ Maerkl to be suspended for a high hit on Saturday night. | Binghamton NY - The Federal Prospects Hockey League will have to make a discipline decision on the Binghamton Black Bears defenseman, Mj Maerkl. In Saturday night's game he delivered a high hit to the head of Mississippi Sea Wolves forward, Nathaniel Boomhower. Maerkl was then assessed two Illegal Check to the Head penalty's at the 3:07 mark of the third period. The fifteen minutes were split between a 5 minute major and a 10 minute match penalty. The Black Bears lost the game 8-4, their first loss of the season and play this upcoming Friday and Saturday in Danbury vs the Hat Trick likely without Maerkl making this trip with the team.
