| The Binghamton Black
Bears (3-2) lost game 3 to the Danbury Hat Tricks (4-1) and were
eliminated from the Commissioner's Cup Playoffs by the score of 3-1
Monday night in Danbury, CT. The Hat Tricks will move on to the
finals to face off against the Carolina Thunderbirds in a best of
five game series. Binghamton's lone goal was from Jestin Somero in
the 1st period, to give the Black Bears an early 1st period lead in
the game. However, the Hat Tricks Michael Marchesan scored at the
9:40 mark of the 1st period to tie the game up at 1 goal a piece.
After a scoreless 2nd period, Brendan Dowler put the Hat Tricks up
by 1 goal 8:42 in the 3rd period. Tobias Odjick scored an empty
netter to put the game out of hand and ended the Black Bears 2022-23
season. The Black Bears best player in the post-season, Talor Joseph
was again very good in this game saving 20 of 22 shots and overall
ended the season with a 1.83 Goals Against Average and a 94% save
percentage. |
