| The Binghamton Black Bears (30-15-4)
continue to struggle on the road, this time losing to the Motor City
Rockers (28-16-6) in Fraser, MI by the store of 8-4. After being
down by one goal early in the first period the Black Bears got on
the score sheet of a power play goal from Cameron Yarwood, his 8th
of the season and 5th on the man advantage. However the Rockers
scored 24 seconds later putting the Black Bears down by 1 going into
the 2nd period. Then the #1 power play team in the FPHL scored
another power play goal 1:30 into the 2nd period off the stick of
Tyson Kirkby who scored his 25th of the season and 8th power play
goal. From there the Motor City Rockers took advantage of every
mistake the Black Bears made, scoring two shorthanded goals and
another on the power play. The Black Bears did see two more goals
from Tyler Gjurich in the 2nd period, his 28th of the season and
then Jake Shultz scored the Black Bears 4th goal of the game, his
12th of the season. The Black Bears will embrace the warm confines
of the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday and Saturday as
they host Elmira on Friday and then Columbus on Saturday night. |
