MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (29-14-4) won both games this weekend vs. the Elmira Mammoth (13-28-6), winning Saturday night's game at home 4-1 in front of 4,378 fans. This was the first game the Black Bears have played in Binghamton since February 26th and their first win at home since the 8-6 win over the Thunder on February 4th. After being down early in the 1st period to Elmira, the Black Bears scored the next four goals in the game getting one in the first period from defenseman Kyle Powell, then in the 2nd period a goal from the Captain Jake Shultz, before the Black Bears scored two in the third off the sticks of Jestin Somero, his second in as many nights and then the empty netter "insurance" goal from the returning Tyler Gjurich. Talor Joseph recorded his 2nd straight win, saving 27 of 28 shots he faced and winning his 5th game of the season. The Black Bears are back on home ice on Sunday when the Watertown Wolves will come to town for a 2 PM puck drop at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena.
