| The Binghamton Black Bears (28-14-4)
defeated the Elmira Mammoth (13-27-6) on Friday night at First Arena
in Elmira breaking a 2 game losing streak by the score of 6-2. Gavin
Yates had a big game for the Black Bears scoring 2 goals on the
night with one of goals being a power play goal as well as assisting
on 2 other goals. Black Bears defensemen, Cameron Yarwood and Donald
Olivieri both scored, Yarwoods was on the power play and he also had
2 assists in the game. Jestin Somero scored his first professional
goal as well and had an assist on the night and Austin Thompson
provided a power play goal in the game to round out the six goals
the Black Bears scored. Binghamton went 3 for 7 on the power play
and Talor Joseph recorded his 4th win of the season saving 24 of 26
shots. Binghamton and Elmira will now travel to the Visions Veterans
Memorial Arena in Binghamton to complete the home and home series
this weekend. |
