MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (22-7-2) defeated the Delaware Thunder (1-28-2) in Delaware in a close game, 4-2. Nikita Ivashkin scored in the 2nd period to tie the game at 1 goal a piece before Delaware took the lead back just 16 seconds later. However the Black Bears got 2 straight goals from Josh Newberg and then Mathieu Boislard to take the lead back in the middle of the 3rd period. After the Thunder pulled goalie Trevor Martin, the Captain, Jake Shultz score the empty net insurance goal pushing the Black Bears lead to 2 with 4 seconds left to play. Ian Wallace got his first start and win for the Black Bears, saving 34 of 36 shots. The Black Bears will host the Danbury Hat Tricks in 2 games next week back to back at the Arena on Friday and Saturday night.
